  1. Greetings.  This library contains 24 Windows 3 icons.  They were created using
  2. Icondraw, by Philip B. Eskelin, Jr.  All the icons in this library were drawn
  3. by myself.  All icons whose names start with a "W" are variations of the 
  4. "generic program" icon that comes with windows.
  5.  
  6. To use an icon from this library: (while using the Program Manager)
  7.  
  8. 1: Load the icon(s) you wish to use into your Windows directory.
  9. 2: Click ONCE on the icon you wish to change.
  10. 3: Select the File option.
  11. 4: Select the Change Icon option.
  12. 5: Type in the COMPLETE path of the ICO file (e.g.:"C:\WINDOWS\SMILE.ICO")
  13. 6: Select OK, then OK again.

  15. NOTE: for some reason, the Prgram Manager has a hard time reading the ICO file
  16. correctly, and you sometimes end up with garbage in the first three lines of 
  17. the new icon.  You sometimes have to go through the above steps several times
  18. to get it to work.

  23. BLANK    One of three standard "blank" icons I like to start with.
  24. BLANK2   The "Generic Windows Program" icon.
  25. BLANK3   Third standard starting point icon.
  26. CHIP     A 14 pin computer chip.
  27. CLUB     One of the suits in a deck of cards.
  28. DIAMOND  One of the suits in a deck of cards.
  29. FLOPPY   A "Windowized" floppy drive.
  30. HDRIVE   A "Windowized" hard drive.
  31. HEART    One of the suits in a deck of cards.
  32. SMILE    A one-eyed mutant smily-face.
  33. SPADE    One of the suits in a deck of cards.
  34. STARS    Some stars.
  35. UP       An arrow pointing up.
  36. WBOMB    A Windows bomb.
  37. WCHIP    A Windows (six pin) computer chip.
  38. WFACE    A Windows bored face.
  39. WGRID    A Windows grid (or chessboard)
  40. WMAD     An angry Windows face.
  41. WSMILE   A Windows smiley-face.
  42. WSTAR1   A Windows star.
  43. WTREE    A Windows "XTREE" icon.
  44. YESNO    Yes/No (what?)
